Amanda Willis extends goal streak to 5 games, Midget AA Ice Kats finish in 3rd Place
The Peterborough Midget AA Ice Kats played their final regular season game on Wednesday night, traveling to Whitby to face the Wolves.
After giving up a goal early in the first period, the Ice Kats found their legs and posted a 4-1 win. Amanda Willis opened the scoring for the Ice Kats, extending her goal scoring streak to 5 consecutive games. Other Ice Kat goals were posted by Hannah Healey (2) and Taylor Richmond. Charlotte Porter (2), Ava Flint (2), and Maddy O’Neill-Hawthorne registered assists. Maddy Roche played a solid game in the Ice Kat net.
The Midget AA Ice Kats posted a season record of 10-8-4 and finished in 3rd place in the East Division of the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League.
They will face the 6th place Clarington Flames in the first round of Playoffs.
