Three in a row for the Midget B's
The Midget B team began a stretch of 3 games in 3 nights against the Ennismore Eagles on Thursday Night with a lightning quick goal just 19 seconds into the game, as Elizabeth Semlitch rifled a shot just under the crossbar, leading them to a 6-2 victory.
Shortly after that, Jenna DeNoble fired a shot that seemed to go right through the goalie to make it an early 2-0 lead. Just before the end of the first period, Mya Burnie added another goal to take a 3-0 lead into the second period.
Midway through the second period the Icekats made it 4-0 with a great goal by Jo Lynn Stonefish. After the Eagles scored to break Zoe Manion's bid for a second consecutive shutout, Elizabeth Semlitch went to work in Gretzky's office behind the net. First she fed a puck out to defenseman Hannah Konyer, who place a perfect shot behind the Ennismore goalie. Then in the third period she fed Grace Landon. Grace was filling in on defence for the first time in her young hockey career, and she shot beautiful seeing eye wrister that made its way through many legs and just over the goalie's left pad to make the final score 6-2.
