Depleted Lineup Proves to be Too Much to Overcome
The Peterbrough Icekat Midget B team Pulled off a tie with Cold Creek on Saturday Night, even though they were short 3 skaters. However, Monday Night in Bancroft 5 skaters short proved to be too much to overcome as they suffered their first loss in 10 games by a score of 1-0.

They showed a lot of grit on Saturday night in Brighton as they got down 2-0 early in the second period, but then stormed back with two quick goals of their own. First it was Jenna DeNoble scoring on a nice feed from Jo Lynn Stonefish. Then Emma Sloan lifted a nice back-hander into the upper part of the net, assisted by Mya Burnie.

Given the fact that we were missing three skaters and some of the girls were playing sick, along with the impressive comeback, this tie felt more like a victory.

On Monday night in Bancroft, it looked like we were going to pull off another unexpected tie, however Bancroft managed to slide one home half way through the third period, which proved to be the winner in a 1-0 loss for the Icekats. Down a full line and set of defense, the girls worked as hard as they could, but it was just too much in the end in spite of some great chances late to tie the game.

The Icekats hit the ice again on Wednesday night in Lindsay, where they look to start up a new winning streak.
