Intermediate A Ice Kats win the Silver medal at the LLFHL Championship Weekend
A great team effort by the entire Intermediate A Ice Kats team completed a very successful season earning the Silver medal at the LLFHL Championship Weekend.  

The Ice Kats started the weekend with round robin play in a game against the St Catharines Brock Jr Badgers in which the Badgers came out on top 2-0. The Ice Kats regrouped, got their fore checking game back on track and defeated the Scarborough Sharks by a score of 3-0. Goals were scored by Kayla Cassibo, Emma Turney and Karlie O'Grady. Allison Juniper earned the shutout. The Ice Kats completed the round robin play with a victory over the Hamilton Hawks by a score of 2-0. Goals were scored by Marlaina Fox and Kenzie Craig. Taylor McVeigh posted the shutout. These two wins earned the Ice Kats a berth in the Gold medal game against the St Catharines Badgers. Although the Ice Kats were able to defeat the Badgers a week earlier at the Provincials, this weekend belonged to the Badgers and they defeated the Ice Kats 3-0. The Ice Kats came away from the LLFHL Championship Weekend with the Silver medal. The Intermediate A Ice Kats enjoyed their most successful season in a number of years, winning the Gold medal at the Peterborough Ice Kats tournament, Silver medal at the LLFHL Championship Weekend and the Silver medal at the Provincials.
