Midget AA, U18, 2017-2018 (Peterborough Girls Hockey Association)

The Peterborough Kings Auto Wreckers Midget AA Ice Kats advanced to the 2nd round of the East Division Playoffs after winning the deciding 1st round game in a shootout.

The Peterborough King’s Auto Wreckers Midget AA Ice Kats entered the weekend sitting in the middle of the pack in the 9-team Eastern Conference of the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League, facing consecutive games against the top three divisional teams.

The Peterborough Kings Auto Wreckers Midget AA Ice Kat Hockey Team wanted to undertake a team activity that would have a positive impact on their community, and they chose “Share the Warmth – Peterborough”.

The Midget AA Ice Kats hockey team feel very strongly that representing Peterborough as an Ice Kat hockey player means more than just being a good player, a good teammate.  It also means being a caring, contributing community member!  As a team activity, we are supporting this year’s “Share the Warmth” community initiative, which is being coordinated by Jen Freymond, a former Peterborough Ice Kat herself.

The Peterborough Kings Auto Wreckers Midget AA Ice Kats hockey team competed with 15 other hockey teams over the weekend in the Buffalo RUSH Inferno hockey tournament, going undefeated in 6 games to qualify for the gold medal game against Aurora.
