Atom White, AHL, 2017-2018 (Peterborough Girls Hockey Association)

The Peterborough Ice Kats tournament had 91 teams in 15 divisions. The Atom HL division had 8 teams including the four Peterborough Ice Kats Teams, the Whitby Wolves, the Ennismore Eagles, the Woodstock Wildcats, and the Clarington Flames. 

This was an exciting first tournament of the season for the girls. They have improved so much since the start of the season. 

They won their first game against the Ennismore Eagles, lost their second to the Whitby Wolves and tied their third game against Ice Kats Team Red. This advanced them to the semi-finals against the Woodstock Wildcats. The girls played so hard and with so much spirit against Woodstock. They were cheering so loud we couldn't hear ourselves on the bench. They held the game scoreless until 39 seconds left in the second period. Leah made an incredible 23 saves.
