Novice C, U9, 2016-2017 (Peterborough Girls Hockey Association)

At the beginning of our season, the team made a conscience effort to develop skills so that we can be competitive by Christmas.  Although our consistency isn't quite there, the girls put together their first complete team effort of the season in a victory on the road in Oshawa.  Great job girls.  Let's try and keep the momentum going this week-end!

It was a good couple of days for our team at the Ice Kat tournament.  We were able to fight hard against a previous opponent that was tough for us in the past.  We were able to solidify friendships and learn more about the game.  Great job team!

Looking forward to seeing everyone at our first tournament of the year!  Safe travels and don't forget both team jerseys for the event.  The Ice Boltz will have no idea what hit them.  Go Ice Kats Go!

Coach Mike had indicated that he wasn't going to shave until the team tasted victory.  Last night's win came sooner than everyone thought was possible and he and the girls are to be proud of the work they all have been doing.  Now Coach Mike has a tough decision - to shave or not to shave?  Was the win because he is growing a beard or because he was going to shave it off with a win?  The team doesn't think it matters.  Continued hard work and effort will always prevail. Go Ice Kats Go!

The Novice C girls have been improving with every outing.  This weekend was not different as the girls have been limiting mistakes and creating opportunities.  We have some tough competition coming up, but know the girls will bring their smiles and desire to learn!
