Bantam AA Ice Kats record 7 straight ties
The Peterborough Bantam AA Ice Kats entered the weekend having recorded a tie in each of their previous five league games.

The Peterborough Bantam AA Ice Kats entered the weekend having recorded a tie in each of their previous five league games.  Playing against Scarborough at the Malvern Arena on Saturday morning, the Ice Kats carried a 2-0 lead into the third period on goals by Madeline O'Neill-Hawthorne and Lauren Bell.  Scarborough managed to score 3 straight goals in the third to take the lead.  With goaltender Bryer Courneyea pulled for the extra attacker, the Ice Kats managed to earn another tie when Alana Jentas jammed a puck across the Scarborough goal line with just 12 seconds left in the game.  Sydney Paulson (2), Rachael King, Kassidy McCarthy and Lauren Bell assisted on the Ice Kat goals.

On Sunday the Bantam AA Ice Kats hosted the Napanee Crunch at the Kinsmen Arena.  Talia Flint scored midway through the third period to give the Ice Kats a 1-0 lead, assisted by Taylor McArthur. With the Napanee goalie pulled for the extra attacker in the final minute of the game, a Napanee shot from the point was deflected in front of the Ice Kat net, beating goalie Maddy Roche with just 20 seconds showing on the clock.  The 1-1 tie preserved the Ice Kats 7 game unbeaten streak.

The Bantam AA Ice Kats will be representing Peterborough in the Two Nations College Prep Series in Brampton next weekend.
