Update - Senior Ladies House League
Submitted By WM on Thursday, August 6, 2015
Update - August 6, 2015

Due to the recent article regarding two of the men's hockey leagues in town, the PGHA sought clarification regarding the leagues having their ice times partially reinstated.

As a result, we have received the following communication from the City Recreation staff.

City Staff were directed, by the CAO, to accommodate the two main men's leagues within 2 hours of their original times, resulting in the one men's group going back to a similar time on Sunday morning.

All other adult leagues have been placed after 10PM - there are some cases where they start at 9:30 but these leagues have not been given their original prime times back. The senior ladies house league would fall into this same category of not being given prime time.

We hope your group will understand our position.

Update - July 23, 2015
Due to the new City of Peterborough ice policy we regret that we are no longer able to offer prime time ice to our senior ladies house league on Wednesday evenings.

Through a survey we did try to solve the problem with other ice time offers but none were suitable to those who completed the survey.  The executive would like to thank Terri Crough for taking the initiative to keep the women of Peterborough playing weekly hockey. Some of these women have played their entire careers in the Ice Kat system and we are sorry we are not able to provide suitable ice. We wish Terri the best of luck with this new endeavour. We do hope to be able to offer ice to senior house league at some point in the future.

Terri Crough can be contacted at [email protected]
