Congratulations Tyler Watchorn – Head Coach, U9A (2026–2027)
The Peterborough Girls Hockey Association (PGHA) is pleased to announce and congratulate
Tyler Watchorn as the Head Coach of the U9A Ice Kats for the 2026–2027 season.
Tyler has been actively involved in minor hockey development, most recently serving as an Assistant Coach with the Peterborough Ice Kats U9B team during the 2025–2026 season, while also supporting the Millbrook Stars U5 program. He has previously coached within the Millbrook Stars organization at the U7 level and has experience supporting young players as they develop their foundational skills and confidence in the game.
In addition to his recent involvement in local minor hockey, Tyler brings earlier coaching experience with several competitive programs, including the Clarington Toros AAA, Whitby Wolves AA, and Durham West Jr. Lightning Intermediate AA teams. This background has helped shape his strong development-first approach to coaching.
Tyler is passionate about creating a positive, structured, and inclusive environment where players can build strong fundamentals, confidence, and a love for the game. His focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship aligns closely with the values of the PGHA and the OWHA.
Please join us in congratulating Tyler on his new role. The PGHA looks forward to the continued development of our young athletes under his leadership with the U9A Ice Kats this upcoming season.
