The next part of our association we would like to spotlight is The Tooke Construction U15A Ice Kats!
The Tooke Construction U15A Ice Kats are an incredible group of young athletes who have had an amazing year filled with tournament successes, sweeping their way through provincial qualifiers and moving to the 3rd round of the Southern League playoffs with a very impressive 51-13-7 record.
The team kicked things off back in August 2024 playing in a boy’s tournament where they competed against some very strong talent from around the region. It was evident from the very first puck drop this team was going to be special. With a busy, competitive schedule ahead including practices, dry-land and tournaments the team proved over and over again that they were motivated, committed and eager for any challenge that was presented to them.
They competed in 6 tournaments winning 1 gold medal, 4 silver medals and 1 hard-fought semi-final loss. They qualified for Provincials with a solid 4-0 record and battled their way through the first 2 rounds of play-offs coming out on top as the Eastern Division Champions. The team is set to start the 3rd round of play-offs facing off against North Bay and Brampton before heading to Provincials in April. The players have shown tremendous work ethic, heart, dedication, and the desire to work together as a team to find success.
