Midget A's Setting The Tone For Playoffs
Submitted By Mike Foote on Sunday, January 26, 2020
Midget A"s played an outstanding game against Whitby tonight. Winning 3-0. The girls have set themselves up in 5th place with one game to go against Whitby. With a possible 2 more points to get, the midget A's can take over soul 4th place and home ice advantage. This would put Whitby in 5th place and set up for a real battle of long time rivals in the first round of playoffs.

The first period was a little slow for the Ice Kats ending 0-0. In between periods the girls had to come up with a game plan. They had to Keep it simple dump and chase and some hard battles in the corners. Get the puck to the net and fight for every inch possible. The girls just did that and popped in 3 goals. The third was back and forth but with constant pressure through the neutral zone this got the best of Whitby and they started to get frustrated and take some penalties.
The Midget A's fought hard with a positive outcome. Good Win Ladies!

Goals:- Grace Dunn 2, Elyse Young 1

Asst:- Elyse Young 1, Gabby Cote-W 1, Jamie Campbell 1, Madison Winslow 1

Huge game in between the pipes tonight for Bryer Courneyea. Great Shutout!

Next game for the Midget A's is Thursday Jan 30th 8:30pm  Evinrude Vs Whitby

Go Ice Kats Go!
