Midget A, U18, 2019-2020 (Peterborough Girls Hockey Association)

The Midget A Ice Kats took the long way in the first round of playoffs Playing Whitby. 1st game 2-2, 2nd a 2-0 loss. With the 3rd game back in Whitby these girls had there work cut out for them. Being down in the series of 2 out of 3 going into Whitby's home rink would be a challenge for anyone. The Midget A's came into the rink saying they wanted more hockey this season. With this positive attitude and positive electricity in the dressing room these girls came to play some hockey.

Midget A"s played an outstanding game against Whitby tonight. Winning 3-0. The girls have set themselves up in 5th place with one game to go against Whitby. With a possible 2 more points to get, the midget A's can take over soul 4th place and home ice advantage. This would put Whitby in 5th place and set up for a real battle of long time rivals in the first round of playoffs.

Midget A's have put it all out on the line at the right time of the year. Winning the last 2 games against 2nd place Markham-Stouffville. The Midget A Ice Kats pulled up quick in My Rankings in their last 10 games placing themselves now 18th in the Country and 15th in Ontario. 10-2-0 Keep Battling Lady's. Great Job! The Midget A Ice Kats Kept the streak alive tonight on home ice. This was the perfect Christmas gift a coach could have from a very talented hockey team. The girls showed some of there skills tonight with some creative puck movement and some aggressive puck possession.       Ice Kats 3 - Kingston 1 Shots:- 26             8 Goals:- Maddy Gordon -1, Ellie Everson -1, Sarah Ludgate -1 Asst:- Elyse Young -1, Maddy Winslow -1, Olivia Gosselin -1 Brooklyn Hatfield like always stayed cool between the pipes coming up with a few huge saves to keep us in the game.

The Midget A Ice Kats are on 7 game unbeaten streak. Finishing a strong tournament in Detroit the Midget A's have 2 wins in league play as well. Bringing down 2nd place Markham Stouffville 2-1 and a nice win last night against visiting Kingston 1-0.
