Atom AA Ice Kats Win GOLD at Clarington Applefest

Congratulations to the Atom AA Ice Kats for winning the Clarington Applefest Tournament with a perfect 4-0 record!  



The girls took to the ice on Friday at 3:30 vs Barrie Sharks.  The girls came out ready to play, winning 3-0.

On Saturday, the girls faced Aurora Panthers in an early 8:00 game.  Aurora narrowly beat them in the semi-finals of Oshawa Tournament earlier in the season, in a shoot out!  The girls came out ready to play with revenge on their mind, winning 2-1.

Saturday afternoon, the girls faced Clarington Flames in a 4:00 game, where they won the game 4-0. 

With 3 wins, the girls headed to the Championship game vs Barrie Sharks on Sunday at 10:45.  Both teams came to the ice, battling hard!  The girls had MANY shots vs the Barrie goalie, who made tons of saves.  Through hard work and great playing, the Ice Kats came out on top with a 2-1 WIN and the GOLD medal around their necks. 

Great passing, tons of shots and all the hard work paid off!  CONGRATULATIONS to all the girls and coaches on successful weekend!
