BANTAM B WIN GOLD IN TORONTO LEASIDE
The Peterborough Chrysler Bantam B's win the gold medal at the 38th annual Leaside march Break tournament.
The team tied Leaside in their first game 1-1 on a goal by Olivia Tattrie assisted by Jayda Maybee and Kate Van Parys, the team tied their next game against the other Leaside team 1-1 as well with a goal by Robyn Broersma assisted by Skylar Naklicki. That was all the goals the B's would allow. They then beat North York 3-0 on goals by Van Parys assisted by Maybee, Kennedy Hudson with an unassisted marker, and Van Parys again from Maybee. They won their 4th game against the Scarborough Sharks 1-0 on a goal from Van Parys assisted by Maybee and Naklicki. The finals were against the first Leaside team and the B's came out on top 3-0, Hannah Lemelin got things started assisted by Natalie Fee and Maddy Delyea, Olivia Tattrie got the second from Lemelin, and Van Parys struck again for her 4th of the tournament assisted by Faith Rogerson-Hunter. Goaltender Macy McGillen was a rock between the pipes recording 3 straight shutouts.
