OFF TO A GOOD START
The girls have started the preseason with a tie against the Clarington B team. The girls played hard throughout the entire game. Goaltending was solid and the team showed a lot of promise.
As we were heading into the season, the coaching staff didn't know where we should be playing as far as B or C. This game ended in a tie and could have gone either way. We have a couple more exhibition games to further asses the team but we are looking forward to a good year either way.
Goaltending looked good and the team played well infront of her. The three balanced lines worked very hard in the defensive zone as well as offensive zone. Steady defence was a very nice thing to see.
After the game the parents seemed to be excited with the outcome and were encouraging to all the IceKats players.
We have a long way to go and a few things to work on in practice but the future looks great from what we saw in the game!
