A few words from
Coach Steve…
The U18B Ice Kats had an excellent year and proudly finished first place out of 11 teams in their OWHA Eastern Division. Led by incredible goaltending and team defence, the U18B team finished 5th in goals‑against average out of all 72 teams in the province, giving up only 16 goals in 22 games with 11 shutouts in regular‑season play — an outstanding defensive record!
The team had an absolutely brilliant year. Individual skill development was very high, and player development and participation were excellent. The cheering, the laughter, the success, the challenges, the eye rolls — yes, the eye rolls. I will miss the games with only two healthy defence-men, the games with only half a team, and the half that showed up having the team plague. It was fun!
The players started the year after merging from five different teams, and then we began to spend a lot of time together.

Team Starbucks Challenge Days (Team Red vs. Black)

Team Veteran Day
The jerseys of our retiring veterans were hung; we celebrated them with festivities, and I was proud to be part of that day.
Brampton Tournament
We are still mid‑season in writing this, and I’m sure we will have an amazing ending to the year.
Thank you to everyone involved — parents, players, volunteers, trainers, manager, guest speakers, coaches, and sponsors — for helping make this such a successful season for the U18B players. I could not have asked for a better group to be part of.
After a full season together, when all 16 hearts beat as one, the team is undefeated (0 losses in my mind). Let’s celebrate and always remember the good times we had together!
Group Thank You to all!
