NOVICE DS PROGRAM 2015/2016
Submitted By WM on Monday, September 21, 2015
The Peterborough Ice Kats are excited to announce the start of a Novice DS program. This team will be made up of girls who are currently playing novice houseleague in an OWHA registered association. Tryouts will begin on November 5th and the team will skate once a week on Thursday evenings.

Novice DS focuses on further developing the skills of players looking to bridge the gap between house league and competitive hockey. This team will play a few exhibition games and a tournament or two.

Peterborough Ice Kat jerseys will be provided to each girl to use for the season

At this time we are not sure of the cost as it depends on the number of girls on the team.  Obviously the highest expense is ice cost. There are also tournament entry fees and the cost of referees. Once the team is chosen the coaches will prepare a team budget. We hope to keep the cost of this program to a minimum with the assistance of sponsors.

If your daughter is interested please contact Jeff Merrick or Darryll Hancock to get her name on the tryout list as this team will have a limited roster.

Jeff and Darryll are also looking for interested volunteers to assist with this exciting new program.

Please contact Jeff Merrick at [email protected] or Darryll Hancock at  [email protected]
