I would like to thank you for electing me as President of the PGHA. I would also like to thank all the outgoing board members for their years of time, effort and dedication. Hockey doesn’t run without our volunteers, and you all have my gratitude.
The last few years have been tumultuous for the PGHA, and I
look forward to a period of stability. We have a couple new board members who
are eager and excited to get to work for you and our daughters, and we have
many returning board members whose contributions will continue to be invaluable
to our organization. We also still have several open board positions. We need
more good people who want to make a difference. Please reach out if you are
interested in any of our open positions.
For those of you who don’t know me, I have 2 daughters in
the PGHA, and I have been involved in the organization at some level for 4
years. I have been a trainer, a manager, a COVID lead, on-ice help and VP of
House League. I have a daughter in House League (U11) and, for the first-time
next season, I have a daughter in rep (U13BB).
President is a big job, but I am up to the challenge. I
don’t have all the answers, but I will work tirelessly to figure them out.
Please be patient with me as I learn this job, and do not hesitate to reach out
to me if you have any questions or suggestions.
We all have a common goal, and that is the betterment of
this organization for our daughters, and all the girls to come after them. Our
girls have an opportunity that so many of us women did not; please work with me
to make that the best experience possible for them.
