Submitted By WB on Saturday, November 22, 2014
The 34th Annual Peterborough Ice Kats tournament wrapped up on Sunday with two Ice Kat teams taking home gold medals!

The Senior B team took home the Senior BB championship and the Intermediate A KEWL Ice Kats were crowned champs as well.

The Senior team took on Cobourg in the finals posting a shutout to earn the title with a 1-0 win. The Ice Kats went undefeated during the round robin, giving up a just singe goal throughout the tournament.

The KEWL Intermediates faced off against Whitby in a rematch of the teams second game.  Whitby came out top in the round robin with a 2-1.  The Ice Kats pulled off the win in the finals by the same score of 2-1.

Two other Ice Kat teams played in the finals.  Both the Bantam BB and Midget B teams came up short losing close 1 goal games.

The Bantam BB took on Stoney Creek coming up short 2-1 despite a flurry of action in the closing moments.

The Midget B team lost the rematch to Napanee as they were unable to duplicate their round robin win.

The Ice Kat organization would like to thank all participating teams for making the 34th Ice Kat tournament a success.
