Exciting Opportunity for females (ages 14 and older) registered with the OWHA
Exciting Opportunity for females (ages 14 and older) registered with the OWHA.

The OWHA will be hosting a beginner seminar online for young females (ages 14 and older) who wish to become an official for the 2021-2022 season.

The focus of this program is to create opportunities for female leaders within the game.

Becoming an official is another one of the pathways that young females can follow to be a part of the Olympic Games.

Female athletes that attend will gain valuable officiating knowledge that can be applied within their local and surrounding associations under the mentorship from the OWHA referee supervisors.

This opportunity will allow for first time officials to gain their annual Hockey Canada qualification through a free online officiating clinic.

We encourage everyone to reach out to their current players and females within your association to encourage their participation.

By introducing young females to officiating, we will be providing new opportunities for females and creating future leaders within the OWHA.
