UPDATE on Cancellations
Hi everyone,

I am writing today with a heavy heart with all of the news about cancellations in youth sport. It is sad for all of the girls to have an abrupt end to the season after all of their hard work and effort all year long.

The safety of our families is the most important thing, and we are upholding the guidelines of the OWHA and will have a full suspension of all activities until further notice and guidance from the OWHA.

Unfortunately, the Banquet that was booked for the beginning of April will have to be cancelled, as it is a large gathering in a small space and planning and preparation is not possible with so many uncertainties.

The Pre-tryout skills sessions ice is still booked with the city, but we will await updates from the OWHA to see if athletes can be on the ice at that point. If we don't get the green light, then those sessions will be cancelled and the PGHA will issue refunds to families who have paid for those sessions.

Tryouts are scheduled to commence on April 14th and run into the first week of May. The ice is booked with the city, but we will await updates from the OWHA to see if these are allowed to occur and keep everyone informed as things unfold.

Thanks for your patience and support through all of this.

Take steps to be healthy, get lots of sleep and wash your hands!

We will keep you updated as we all grow through this process.

Thanks

Stacey Moore on behalf of the PGHA Executive
