Peterborough Ice Kats give back for Christmas
Hockey players gather gifts for local teens in need

The Peterborough CHE Just For Girls Camp Bantam AA Ice Kats have the spirit of giving this holiday season.

The girls were asked what they would like to do this Christmas in the spirit of giving. Many options were discussed and according to team officials the one that hit closest to home was helping other teens In need. Through contacting The Children's Foundation and PTBO Needs, the Ice Kats were given six teens in their community that are in need this Christmas. There are approximately 65 teens in Peterborough that are desperately in need this Christmas. The teens are often overlooked when people are purchasing items for those less fortunate.

The Ice Kats were fully committed to help and make someone else's Christmas a little brighter. The teens' Christmas Wish lists varied from clothing, personal hygiene products to bedding and pillows.

The Ice Kats came through, purchasing all the items on their lists and much more. Some of the girls even included personal cards and letters for the teens.

Some of the Ice Kats had the pleasure of dropping the items off to the Children's Foundation and meeting with a few of the staff. They were overwhelmed with gratitude by the generosity of the players.
