Kats Shut Out the Lady Gens
The Bantam BB Ice Kats move to 3-1 in LLFHL play.
Led by Brooke Jank's two helpers the Ice Kats downed the visiting Oshawa Lady Generals 2-0 Tuesday night at the Memorial Centre.
Backed by outstanding goaltending from Alyssa 'ERV' Ervine, the Kats battled through two periods before dominating play in the third. Kaitlinn Blancher opened the scoring on a backdoor feed from Jank. Also assisting was Emma Sloan. Kari Lynde iced the game with an empty netter again on a feed from Jank.
The irony is both goal scorers fathers are from.... you guessed it, Oshawa.
The Canadian Legion Player of the game was Brooke Jank.
The M&M Disposals Hardest Working Player was Alyssa Ervine.
