The Peewee A Peterborough Ice Kats had a great showing at the Oshawa Fall Classic tournament held September 20th to 22nd. They started the first game off a bit slow with a 3-1 loss to North York Storm. The girls quickly turned their slow start around beating Toronto Leaside Wildcats 5-0 in the 2nd game of the tournament. The third game had them facing off against Cambridge Roadrunners, where they came out on top with a 4-2 win. In the 4th and final game of round robin play, the girls were on fire, winning 6-0 against Cold Creek Comets. This advanced the team to the semi-finals where they took on Saugeen Maintland Lightning, coming out victorious with a 4-3 win.
In the gold medal game, the team faced Gloucester Cumberland Stars. It was a hard fought game, full of back and forth action. The girls were unable to put the puck in the net, despite many chances, losing 1-0.
Congratulations to the team on their silver medal!
