Just a fantastic day on Friday. The Girls Had a 2 hour practice before heading to Lakefield College for their team building overnighter. The girls started off with a pizza supper then moving on to the water sports, paddle boarding and swimming. As the evening progressed the girls got cleaned up and headed down to an amazing fire pit Lakefield College has on the water front. The campfire was full of stories and laughter. The team closed down the evening and headed back to the dorm to settle in for the evening.
The morning was excellent on Saturday with blue skies and sunshine. The team went to an amazing breakfast for 8am. After breakfast we went back to the dorm to clean up and then headed down to the beach volleyball court for a little tournament. The outcome was a lot of laughter. 10am came upon us quickly so we headed up to the ropes course for our finale. The team and the coaches did well on the ropes. The girls worked well in supporting each other to overcome the fears of climbing a 30' pole with a platform of about 18"x18". On this platform you had to get all 4 people on it and then the instructor would ask you to go outside of your boundaries while believing and trusting your partners by leaning out in mid air while holding on to each other. We have a brave and supportive bunch of girls. After this event each player knows that their teammate has their back. Great support Ladies. To finish off the day we played Kingston at the Evinrude with a 6-2 win.
Parents you should be very proud of your girls. They are a very classy bunch.
