Scarborough Sharks New Years Classic Tournament Champions!
What a way to start off the new year! The Atom BB team had a slow start in the tournament during round robin play. However, they knew when to turn it on and be aggressive! With a 3-0 win against the Aurora Panthers in the semi-finals, we were ready to take on the Burlington Barracudas in the Gold Medal game. After the zamboni breaking down, changing arenas, playing 2 periods of the game and then moving to another ice pad, the girls held onto their 2-1 lead to bring home the gold medal. Beautiful goals by Macy and Abby(2) in the semi final game and Macy and Danica in the final game! Fantastic goaltending by Brea the entire tournament. Way to go girls!!
