The Peewee BB Ice Kats took a night off during
the busy Christmas season to lend a hand at the Kawartha Food Share on Dec.22.
The team received a guided tour of the facility from director Keith Calderwood. Calderwood’s presentation helped provide the group with a valuable perspective about the number of people who utilize Food Banks in our community as well as the volume of generous donations processed through the Food Share each week. Afterwards, the girls, coaching staff and numerous team family members spent the evening sorting donations into boxes for distribution to the various local Food Banks served by the Food Share before the holidays.
The team has been blessed with tremendous support from the community and was proud to be able to give something back. Congratulations on a job well done.
