The team stuck together and overcame the adversity of a short roster to earn a 0-0 tie and secure first place in the East division over their rivals from West Northumberland. The girls battled hard and played great defense while also generating many quality scoring chances that were repeatedly turned away by the opposing goaltender. Hannah McKenzie earned the shutout in net for the Kats making an exceptional save in the dying seconds.
The team posted the lowest goals against in the entire LLFHL (13 goals against in 22 games), earned a first round bye in the LLFHL playoffs and an entry into the OWHA Provincial tournament. Congratulations on an excellent regular season and tournament performance and good luck in the playoffs. Go Kats!
