Novice B Ice Kats Take Home Silver Medal at Durham West Bolts and Hearts Tournament
Congratulations to the Novice B Ice Kats for taking home the silver medal over the weekend, in
6 hard fought games at the Durham West Bolts and Hearts Tournament!
In action on Friday, the girls faced Cambridge in a hard fought 3-0 loss. In their 2nd game of the day, they came out firing, downing Scarborough 2-1. In the 3rd round robin game, they had an outstanding game winning 5-0 over St. Thomas.
This earned the girls a spot in the quarter finals where they beat Gloucester 2-0.
In semi-final action the team took on Durham West in a hard fought battle between the two teams. The Ice Kats overcame Durham West 3-2 in an extremely exciting game!
This win led the girls to the final against Cambridge, where they fought hard, but were unable to come away with a win - finishing 2nd in the tournament and earning a well deserved silver medal! The team staff and parents are very proud of your hard work! Way to go girls!
