Midget B's Start Their Season Off With a Win
The Midget B Ice Kats had a great game this passed Saturday Oct 4th and Started their 2014/2015 season off on a winning note. They had 5 shots in the first 2 minutes of the Game

This past Saturday was Ice Kats day in Peterborough and the start of the season for a lot of the Ice Kats Teams. The Midget B's were up against the Napanee Crunch and was going to prove to be a very tough opponent.
The Girls came out with every intention that they were going to win and dominated the first 6 minutes of the game. We had lots of shots and were able to test the goalie early. At the end of the first there was still no score .
We started into the second with a couple of minor penalties which did not really allow us to execute any pressure on Napanee but it was close to the end of the second when a shot from Addison Gibson was deflected to Megan Gordon who took no time to make sure that the puck made it to the back of the net.
We started the 3rd up by a goal and wanted to make sure that we kept on pressuring the Crunch.By the midway point of the third we had traded off shots our Goalie, Mercedes Dumaresq provided us with an outstanding effort to keep us up by one. With 5 minutes left Trish Sotiriadis was able to provide Marissa Porter with a beautiful pass from behind Napanee's goal which Marissa didn't hesitate to put in the back of the Net.
With under 3 minutes left we got into some penalty trouble and needed to kill off a 5 on three . The girls killed off the 5 on 3 and were victorious when the buzzer sounded . 2-0 was the final with Mercedes posting her first shutout of the regular season earning her Player of the game.
