Midget 'A' Icekats remain undefeated in pre-season play
The Peterborough Midget 'A' Icekats have played 3 exhibition games in preparation for their 2014-2015 Lower Lakes Female Hockey League season.
On Thursday the Midget 'A' Icekats hosted West Northumberland at the Evinrude Centre , posting a 2-1 win with goals scored by Abby Hughes and Katie Garland, assisted by Maddy Serpa and Lauren O'Neill-Hawthorne.
On Saturday the Midget 'A' Icekats hosted Oshawa at the Evinrude Centre, and despite out-playing the Lady Generals for most of the game, the result was a 1-1 tie, with the lone Peterborough goal scored by Carson Brown, assisted by Maddy Serpa.
On Sunday evening the Icekats traveled to Clarington to play the Flames. Brooke Sanders scored her second goal of the game with 28 seconds left to earn a very exciting 3-2 win. Carson Brown scored the other Peterborough goal, with assists by Abby Hughes (2), Carson Brown, Lauren O'Neill-Hawthorne, Katie Pattemore and Dawson Hill.
The Midget 'A' Icekats, sponsored by Alf Curtis Home Improvements, and Napa Auto Parts, will be playing in the 4th Annual Starsfest Tournament in Stouffville this coming weekend.
